The tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan are promoted in Germany

The tourism potential of Azerbaijan has been presented at the "ITB Berlin" global tourism and travel fair held in Germany.

With the organizational support of the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board,  15 partners, including the Azerbaijan Hotel Association, “Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, Absheron Hotel Group, “Inter Continental Baku” and a number of leading tourism agencies, will hold business meetings with representatives of various countries until March 9 to promote the country's tourism opportunities and establish cooperation,

On the first day of the exhibition, the Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Florian Sengstschmid, gave interviews to well-known mass media such as "Euronews", "Connesseuir circle", "Touristik Aktuell".

At the same time, the national stand of Azerbaijan hosted the presentation event of the "Basics of Hotel Sustainability" program of the World Travel and Tourism Organization. While speaking at the event, President of this Council Julia Simpson expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan as a partner country of the program, and to the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, which assumed this responsibility.

On the second day of the exhibition, the world-famous global tourism platform Expedia Group, which cooperates with the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and allows to book online flights, hotels, tour packages and tourist trips, will hold an event at which it is planned to present Expedia Group’s cooperation with Azerbaijan as a successful example for the tourism industry. At the event, it is planned to present the cooperation of "Expedia Group" with Azerbaijan in the field of promotion as a successful example for the tourism industry.

It should be noted that during the months of June-December 2022, relevant content on tourism products of the country such as culture, nature, adventure, food and wine was placed on the mentioned platform. The target markets of the placements were Germany, India, UK and Middle Eastern countries and the campaign reached massive audience of millions.
